How to block numbers on your VoIP Account
You are able to block a certain number or group of numbers for individual numbers, or the whole account, on both the Flying High and Enterprise packages.
1. To do so by number, we have a feature which allows you to add a conditional call routing module. The module is called ″Caller ID Routing″ and you simply add it to the beginning of your call route. In this module, you can choose from:
- Starts With
- Contains
- Ends With
- Equals
- Anonymous
And then simply enter the value into the box. For example, if there is a particular number you wish to block (hypothetically 01234 567890), you enter: ″Equals″ > ″01234567890″. Then, you choose what happens after for each condition:
What happens if there is a match (I would choose “hang up” if it’s a cold caller number for example!)
What happens if there is no match (continue call route as normal.)
2. To block certain numbers for a whole account, you can navigate to VoIP> Calls > Restrictions and carry out the same process as the above. Just make sure to select whether you would like to apply this to inbound or outbound calls!
